first snows are always exciting, even when you are 22 years old. how lovely it is to wake up and see snow out your back window.
edith, my volvo station wagon, wasn’t as excited as I was, but she managed to come alive this morning.
after forcing Edith to drive me over to the gym at 7am, I came home, gave her rest, and put my Nikon d40 to work around my yard. this pattern (above) had been made on our backyard patio.

good thing the presents are bought and wrapped! No crazy holiday shopping with slushy parking lots and icy sidewalks. This year’s wrapping theme is Monograms.Â
Only 8 more days of school!Â
And the update on Africa: packing is underway…last week, my Grandma took me out shopping for travel items, like Mosquito netting, travel shampoo, a portable fan, a mag-lite, etc. It is all currently sitting on my bed, and awaits my organization. End of story.
I love that first B/W picture emily, it’s sorta creepy but beautiful
i also like sparkly-crunch, very nice perspective
Hi Em!
Those pics look sweet…you’re such a great photographer..wow
The snow looks beautiful..wish I could be there!
It doesn’t quite feel like winter here:(
Miss you and Prayin’ for you! 🙂
Emily,
Thanks for keeping all of us readers updated on what’s going on with you and your family. It’s so wonderful to see God’s blessings in your lives. Thanks also for posting the images of the first snow. It’s starting to get chilly here in SoCal-it’s like, 55 degrees!
I’m praying for your upcoming trip, can’t wait to hear how He will glorify Himself through your team.
Please pass along my Christmas greetings to everyone,
Victor
