Today, I celebrated like it was Christmas in September.
Mom and Dad’s care package came, and oh boy, was it fun to open!
Hazelnut Coffee-Mate Creamer. Did I ever crave this before? No, but now I do!
A sharp vegetable peeler that Emily and I will love.
Two, Real Simple magazines from August and September editions.
Nautica pajamas that will now keep me warm.
Emergen-C Vitamin Packet, Raspberry Flavor.
White duvay cover to go with my “Devonshire†color (blue-gray) bedroom wall color and black Ikea curtains.
Cooking thermometer for my candy, homemade yogurt, and meats.
Fresh, crisp Ziplock bags, thank goodness. (i am a true missionary now. i’ve been saving all my old ones.)
Laundry dryer sheets that smell like my clothes did at home
Ghiradelli chocolate chips
Best of all, the sight of Mom and Dad’s handwriting on their note.
You should have heard me squealing in the kitchen.
I almost cried in delight.
Thanks Mom. Thanks Dad. You’re the best.
I wouldn’t use those sheets in the dryer. They are the swiffer dusting sheets that you requested!!
hi, i stumbled upon your site while doing research for my own website that i want to put up. The suprisingly odd thing is am kenyan born & raised but i live in douglas GA on the suburbs of Atlanta. I’ve been here for almost 6yrs, came for further my studies in college & after graduation was granted permanent residence, so i work now. This is a great blessing for me & my family because it enables us to have a better life, the biggest sacrifice is being so far away from my parents & 2 younger brothers who have quickly grown up to youngmen in my absense. So i relate to what you are going through, you write very well , i love the poems & will be back to read more, thanks for what you are doing in my counrty! say hi to all your friends, loise.
