On Sunday, I ran the Cherry Blossom Ten-Miler in D.C.! Â It was a gorgeous morning. Â Cool, sunny, mildly windy, and with all the cherry blossoms in bloom.
I was really excited because I haven’t run a race in D.C. since Nora and I ran the Army Ten Miler together over five years ago. Â That was right before I had my ACL surgery, so over the following two years I was in rehab and not up for a long race. Â But, this winter, I decided that it was time for some motivation to get me through the chilly months. Â And, it was definitely worth it.
I ended up running it in 1 hour and 24 minutes, at about an 8 1/2 minute mile.  You can see the results here Â
Take a look at the winner’s time for the women’s division! Â How’s that for being fast? Â
Pictures to come.
