Psalm 74: 15-17
“The day is yours, and yours also the night; You established the sun and the moon…
…It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; You made both summer and winter.”
Psalm 104:24, 27-28
“How many are your works, O Lord! (We) all look to you to give (us our) food at the proper time.
When you give it to them, (we) gather it up;
when you open your hand, (we) are satisfied with good things.”

I made this soup the other night to celebrate the beginning of November and the true, fall weather that we are finally having after random October days at 80 degrees. I love Thanksgiving month. It simply is the best. In fact, our family often agrees that Thanksgiving is a better holiday than Christmas.
Today marks 2 months until I leave for Africa. As I was praying this morning, I thanked the Lord that ‘the day is His.’ I can so easily become worried and fretful that I won’t be able to accomplish all my tasks each day. But He owns it, doesn’t He? And that is a comfort beyond explanation.
